Think back to your high School or college days. Remember when you just couldn’t wait to graduate and ‘get out there’ to make a big success of yourself in the real world? Learning how to be successful is still a great idea. If you’re a graduate of CAI, maybe it’s time to come back to CAI NEXT. This year CAI NEXT promises that you will learn more about yourself, your customers and your business than you might have thought possible.
On Sunday March 18th through Tuesday, March 20th, CAI Next will be held at the Indiana Memorial Union on the campus of Indiana University in beautiful Bloomington Indiana. This intensive three-day conference features the most advanced courses ever offered to CAI graduates by the National Auctioneers Association.
What can you expect of CAI Next? Three broad themes: and each one builds upon the one before it. The First Theme is about YOU and your personal success. The Second Theme is about What Your Customers Want, and the Third Theme is about Surviving and Thriving in today’s Tumultuous Marketplace.
On March 18th, come and enjoy brunch and networking from 10 till noon, followed at 1 o’clock by a session on the first theme --- You. Each NEXT Participant will be given the opportunity to take a 20-minute online assessment of their personal strengths and receive immediate feedback on their top five strengths among a list of thirty-four possible. Knowing your key strengths enables you to work smarter by acquiring related knowledge and skills that are sure to complement what you’re already good at.
Once CAI Next participants are aware of their own strengths and how best to make them come alive in their lives, we move on to the second theme of the program: Customers.
More specifically, the second session is entitled What Customers Want. You will learn and participate in a process called Outcome Driven Innovation, which is designed to provide customers with exactly the kind of results they want and expect from you. And that saves you time, money, and effort. You’ll team up with others in the course to develop a marketing plan for your business. Then, you’ll present that plan to an audience comprised of your professional colleagues and Kelley School of Business Faculty and receive real-time feedback and ideas that you can take back home to share and implement.
The third theme of CAI Next is the Marketplace itself and how you can prosper in it both personally and professionally. In this portion of the conference, you will learn about the seven characteristics that the greatest leaders of all time share….Leaders from all walks of Life and all Industries. Finally, you’ll learn how to communicate effectively to customers using all the latest tools, including viral, email, interactive, and social media.
Professor Ann Bastianelli is back by popular demand to headline CAI Next. Bastianelli’s career highlights include marketing campaign triumphs for many of the world’s most popular companies and brands, including Kellogg's Raisin Bran’s 2 Scoops of Raisins, The Talking Parkay Margarine tub, Leggo My Eggo Waffles, McDonald’s Happy Meals, and Dow Bathroom Cleaner's Scrubbing Bubbles. For the past ten years, Ann has taught Marketing at Indiana. The Kelley School of Business is currently ranked among the top ten business schools in the country.
