2006- IAC Champions Promote Auction Industry
Overland Park, KS –The 2006 International Auctioneer Champions, Barbara Bonnette, CAI, GPPA, AARE of Alexandria, La. and John Nicholls of Fredericksburg, Va. have appeared at many events promoting the auction industry fulfilling their responsibilities as IAC champions. Below is a list of events they have and will attend:
NBC's Today Show: Bonnette and Nicholls taped segment for the Today Show on how to become an auctioneer. Bonnette and Nicholls coached NBC correspondent, Kevin Tibbles on how to bid-call. An air date has yet to be set for the segment.
March of Dimes Signature Chefs Event: Bonnette and Nicholls were the featured auctioneers for a live auction benefiting the March of Dimes. Bonnette and Nicholls raised almost $77,000.
St. Jude Toy Auction: Bonnette and Nicholls conducted the annual St. Jude Children's Hospital Toy Auction on Monday, Nov. 6. After the auction, Nicholls, Bonnette, their families and NAA Staff had lunch with 4-year-old St. Jude patient Journey and her mother to learn about their experiences at St. Jude.
National Association of Realtors (NAR) Convention: Bonnette and Nicholls will auction several items at the Realtors Land Institute's "Cowboy Auction" held Saturday, Nov. 11. In addition, Bonnette and Nicholls will serve as NAA spokespersons during the NAR convention.
Beginning in January, look for Bonnette and Nicholls at various State Auctioneers Association conventions severing as speakers on behalf of the NAA.
