NAA set to produce auction television show
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. - The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) will begin production on a television series devoted to the auction industry. The series will be offered to various cable and network stations to showcase the talent and growth within the auction industry.
The NAA's television project captures the increasingly widespread media coverage of auctions and auctioneers, which the NAA believes would translate in the interest of this television program. Real estate auctions currently receiving the most media coverage would be the sector covered in the pilot piece.
"The concept for the television show is to educate and expose the general public to the auction industry so that they can see the value in selling their real or personal property via the auction method," said NAA President William Sheridan, CAI, AARE, GPPA, of Mason, Mich.
Production will begin in the coming months. Details about the program and series will be announced at the 58th International Auctioneers Conference and Show in San Diego, Calif.
