Thomas L. Williams, CAI, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was elected president of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), the largest professional auctioneers organization, during the 58th International Auctioneers Conference and Show held in San Diego, California July of 2007. More than 1,350 auction professionals attended the event. He became chairman of the Board after Randy Wells, CAI, AARE, BAS, CES, GPPA was elected president at the 59th International Auctioneers Conference and Show in Nashville.

Prior to being elected as president, Williams served a one-year term as president-elect; a one-year term as vice president and a three-year term as director. Williams has also served three terms as Trustee of the National Auctioneers Foundation Board of Trustees.

Williams has been active in the auction business since 1963 when he joined the NAA. At that time, he and his wife, Trudy, along with Jack and Sherry Lowderman formed the Lowderman & Williams auction company in Macomb, Illinois. In 1985, the couple moved to Tulsa and formed Williams and Williams auction company with their son, Dean.

Williams & Williams conduct real estate auctions throughout the nation and are the leading real estate auction company in their area. Williams & Williams represent several of the nation's largest real estate investment and development companies. Williams has been one of Americas leading Angus cattle auctioneers for over 35 years.

He is a graduate of Penn State University and Reppert's Auction School. He is a life member of his Masonic Lodge, Paul Harris Rotarian and life member American Angus Association. He has been active in the Illinois Auctioneers Association and the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association.

Willilams and his wife Trudy have three children and six grandchildren.
