Jason Winter named 71st National Auctioneers Association President

Winter, CAI, AARE, AMM, CES, West Central Auction Co., of Harrisonville, Missouri, will serve as the NAA President for 2019-2020.

Overland Park, Kan. (July 11, 2019) – After one year as National Auctioneers Association (NAA) Vice President, Jason Winter, CAI, AARE, AMM, CES, of Harrisonville, Missouri, took office as NAA President. Winter was unanimously elected by members at the 2019 Annual Business Meeting of the National Auctioneers Association after serving three years as a member of the NAA Board of Directors. He is the first NAA President from Missouri.

Winter will serve as president until July 2020, when the next president will take office at the International Auctioneers Conference & Show in San Diego, California.

As a member of the NAA since 1996, Winter has served on several committees and task forces prior to his tenure on the Education Institute Trustees. He is a member of the Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association (MPAA) and since joining in 1994, he has served on the MPAA Board as Director, Vice President and President.

Since 1993, Winter has owned West Central Auction Company where he also works as an auctioneer. He was co-owner of Century 21 West Central Real Estate from 2003 to 2006. Since 2006, he has served as broker for the company, as well as an instructor for the Kansas City Regional Board of Realtors.

Winter’s other involvement in the community includes being a past president for the Harrisonville Rotary Club, past president for the Harrisonville Christian School Board, board member for the Harrisonville Christian School Board and past treasurer for the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce.
