Facebook changing their name to Meta does not mean the world will be using Facebook's centralized platform. The Metaverse goes far beyond social media and has fantastic implications for the future of marketing. Join this session to walk through current examples of the Metaverse in action--from virtual worlds to NFTs, Roblox, WoW, real estate, and other platforms. We will look at the underlying platform building blocks of hardware, tools, payments, auctions, and regulatory frameworks--up through the app and use cases on top of them. Whether or not you purposefully incorporate the Metaverse into your marketing, you need to know where marketing opportunities are headed in the Metaverse.
