About the Instructor

Mark L. Manley, CAI, AARE, AMM, CES, MPPA

Mark L Manley, CAI, AARE, GPPA, CES of Pavo, Georgia, has been in the Auction industry since 1991. Mark is President and Co-Owner of Wiregrass Auction Group of Moultrie, Georgia with his wife Sheri. Wiregrass Auction Group is an Accelerated Real Estate Marketing firm primarily conducting real estate auctions with a strong concentration in the field of Bankruptcy and Receiverships. Simply stated, when it comes to auctions, Mark specializes in the complex. Because of his experience and results, Mark is routinely sought out by individuals, businesses, attorneys, and other auction companies to consult on and handle complex liquidation cases. Mark is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer in the State of Georgia and currently holds real estate broker and Auctioneer licenses in multiple states surrounding Georgia. He also specializes in the valuation of agricultural machinery and equipment, regularly conducting appraisals and offering expert witness testimony. Mark was elected to the Board of Governors of the Auction Marketing Institute (AMI) during the 2002 AMI Annual Meeting held in Orlando, Florida and following the merger of AMI and NAA, Mark served a five-year term as a National Auctioneers Association Education Institute (NAAEI) Trustee. During his term on the NAAEI, Mark also served as Chairman of the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), and currently serves as an instructor at CAI teaching courses in bankruptcy, bank, and governmental Auctions. In 2004, Mark was appointed by Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue to serve on the Georgia Auctioneers Commission, the state’s licensing board and completed his term of service in 2010 while serving as Chair of the Auctioneers Commission. Mark has held every executive leadership office of the Georgia Auctioneers Association and is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and a Life Member of the Moultrie Georgia Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club. Mark and his wife Sheri are fifth-generation owners of their family farm near Pavo, Georgia where they enjoy country living, growing grass, commercial beef cattle, and pine timber. Mark and Sheri are the proud parents of sons, Rucker who resides in Los Angeles, California and is pursuing a career as in the film industry and Tyler who resides in Athens, Georgia with his wife Amy. Tyler works as a forestry analyst.
