Advocating for the Auction Industry

Advocating for the Auction Industry

Public policy can directly affect how auction professionals do business.
The National Auction Association works to make sure the auction industry is understood,
represented and heard when federal policy decisions are made.

A seat at the table matters.

Advocacy is one of NAA’s four Cornerstones and a long-term commitment
to making sure the auction industry’s perspective is represented.

Advocacy Before It Becomes Urgent

NAA builds relationships with lawmakers, regulators and industry partners so the
auction industry’s voice is part of the conversation before issues become urgent.

We monitor federal legislation and regulation, explain how proposed policies could
affect auction professionals and help policymakers understand how the industry operates
in practice.

That sustained presence allows NAA to advocate from an informed position and respond
when policy decisions could affect the profession.

“The strongest voice for the auction industry is the voice of the people who work in it.”

Member Experience Makes Advocacy Stronger

Auction professionals understand how laws, regulations and market conditions affect
clients, businesses and communities in ways that cannot always be seen from Washington.

That experience helps NAA identify emerging challenges, establish long-term priorities
and advocate from a position grounded in practical industry knowledge.

The Political Side of Advocacy

The National Auction Association Political Action Committee gives eligible individuals
another way to support the industry’s federal advocacy efforts by helping elect
