Chip Jones is a seasoned capital recovery professional and licensed Associate Broker in Virginia and North Carolina with over 18 years of experience specializing in bankruptcy asset recovery, distressed asset remarketing, and the disposition of commercial and residential real estate, heavy machinery, equipment, and vehicles. As Senior Advisor and Partner at Dudley Resources — a Virginia-based bankruptcy asset liquidation and remarketing firm — he serves as a trusted resource for bankruptcy trustees, creditors’ rights attorneys, and institutional clients navigating complex asset disposition challenges. With a national reach, Chip and his team have the expertise and infrastructure to evaluate, market, and sell virtually any asset class, anywhere in the country.
A Certified Auctioneer and graduate of the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), Chip holds the Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) designation from the National Auctioneers Association — credentials that reflect both his technical mastery and deep commitment to the profession. He is a former Virginia State Champion Auctioneer and a World-Ranked Ringman, recognized among the elite in competitive auctioneering.
Chip currently serves as President of the Virginia Auctioneers Association (VAA), where he leads advocacy, education, and professional development efforts on behalf of auctioneers across the Commonwealth. He is also the host of “Opening Bid | Gavel to Gavel — Auctions Across the Commonwealth,” a podcast exploring the auction industry, market trends, and the people shaping commerce in Virginia.
Beyond the auction block, Chip remains a committed advocate for charitable causes, lending his expertise as lead auctioneer for benefit auctions that help organizations raise meaningful capital for missions that matter.
