Christie King has been involved in the auction industry since 1987, when she joined her family’s auction business. In 2007, Ms. King received the Benefit Auctioneer Specialists designation from the National Auction Association. She then established C. King Benefit Auctions and began dedicating her efforts fully to helping nonprofit organizations, with a focus on supporting women, children, animals, and various medical foundations. Christie has assisted numerous organizations in generating millions of dollars in revenue for their causes. She is a past president of the Alabama Auction Association and was inducted into the Alabama Auction and National Auction Hall of Fame. She was the president of the National Auction Association and the National Auction Foundation, becoming the only female and Alabamian to hold either position. Christie is a licensed auctioneer in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. She is married to Mike Ray and has a dog named Mellie.
