David attended Auction School in 2008 and earned his real estate license in November 2010. He is the Owner-Operator and Managing Broker of Whitaker Marketing Group. Through years of contract auctioneering, he gained broad experience in auctions across the country. Active in the Realtor Land Institute, National Auctioneers Association, and several state auctioneer associations, David is recognized as a trusted advisor in farmland sales and acquisitions. After selling millions in assets, he focused his passion on farmland. David and his wife, Ann, reside and farm outside Ames, Iowa, with their two sons, Colton and Caleb.
David is a Past President and Chairman of the board for the Iowa Auctioneers Association
David is the 2026 Hall of fame recipient for the Iowa Auctioneers Association.
David is a Past President for the Iowa Realtor Land Institute
