John T. “J.T.” Rowell is a fourth-generation auctioneer and the Chief Operating Officer of Rowell Auctions, Inc., a family-owned firm based in Moultrie, Georgia, serving clients across the Southeast since 1936. With a deep-rooted commitment to integrity and innovation, J.T. leads the company’s online auction operations, specializing in real estate, equipment, and asset liquidations. His leadership blends traditional values with modern technology to meet the evolving needs of buyers and sellers.

In addition to his role at Rowell Auctions, J.T. serves as Executive Director and Corporate Secretary of MarkNet Alliance, a national network of premier auction firms. In this role, he helps drive strategic collaboration, guides member development, and supports the continued growth of the alliance across the country.

J.T. is also actively involved in his family’s cattle business, Rowell Land & Cattle, a multi-generational cow/calf operation producing premium Black Angus beef. Through their farm-to-table program, the Rowell family offers locally raised beef, focusing on quality and responsible stewardship.

For over 15 years, J.T. has served the Georgia Auctioneers Association, holding every officer position and working to strengthen the auction profession across the state through leadership, advocacy, and mentorship.

A dedicated community leader, J.T. is president of the Colquitt County High School MCJROTC Booster Club, where he supports cadet leadership and travel through fundraising and volunteerism. He lives in Moultrie with his wife, Cindy, their children, Maycie and Thomas, and their dogs, Baker the Corgi and Maggie the Australian Shepherd, who is always part of the adventure.
