Ayanna Coleman

Ayanna Coleman is a business strategist and brand consultant who helps leaders — from independent professionals to nonprofit executives — turn what they already know into something the right people can clearly see, choose, and trust.

As founder of Quill Shift, she works at the intersection of strategy, messaging, and brand clarity by helping clients move past the logo-and-website surface to build positioning that actually drives decisions: which gigs to take, which clients to say yes to, which story to lead with.

Her background spans marketing, publishing, information science, nonprofit leadership, tech, and education, with work across the U.S., Europe, and Japan. She has partnered with organizations including GLAAD, Spike DDB, The Brooklyn Public Library, and The University of Copenhagen, and her projects have included rebranding a women's empowerment nonprofit,  pioneering roles in a fintech startup, and developing the full brand and marketing strategy for a PhD program in Europe.

She holds a Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois and was recognized as a YPC Innovative Leader through Yale University's Executive Education Program.

Ayanna brings a global perspective, a deep listening ear, and a reputation for helping even the most seasoned professionals uncover what makes them distinctly, compellingly them.
