Since 2003, Mr. Kruse has accepted receivership appointments, managing assets through sales and wind-down processes, with cases spanning from Washington, D.C., to California. Recognized as an industry authority, he regularly presents on distressed assets, insolvency, and auctions at seminars, including The Ohio Auction School and the National Auctioneers Association, and has been featured in multiple media outlets.
In 2011, he helped draft new local rules for receivership management in Franklin County, Ohio. Named one of Business First’s “Ones to Know in Real Estate” (2013), he was also appointed by Governor John Kasich to serve as Chairman of the Ohio Auctioneers Commission. In 2016 and continuing until today contributes to foreclosure law reforms, and assisted in developing a proprietary workflow and online bidding platform for Private Selling Officer auctions.
During Covid, Mr. Kruse pursued scuba diving, becoming a PADI Open Water Instructor and working toward Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification. He teaches diving in Ohio and Florida and serves as a dive guide in Clearwater and the Upper Keys.
He enjoys travel, cooking, and diving, and splits his time between Columbus, Ohio, and Tarpon Springs, Florida with his wife, Melissa, and daughter, Savannah.
