Now Accepting Applications for the NAA Board of Directors
The National Auction Association is now accepting applications for Officer and Director positions to be elected at the 77th International Auctioneers Conference & Show in San Antonio, Texas.
Serving on the NAA Board of Directors is a meaningful opportunity to help guide the association’s mission of serving auction entrepreneurs through promotions, advocacy, education, and community. If you are passionate about the future of the auction profession and ready to contribute at a strategic level, we encourage you to consider applying.
Who Can Apply?
NAA members in good standing who meet the eligibility requirements for the position they seek are encouraged to apply.
Vice President
One-year term, ascending to President the following year and to Chair of the Board following Presidency. Candidates must be members in good standing and have served a full term on the Board of Directors, Cornerstone Committee, AMI Board of Governors, or National Auction Foundation Trustees.
Director
Candidates must be an NAA member in good standing for at least three consecutive years immediately preceding the election; served on an NAA committee or task force, the National Auctioneers Foundation, or what was known as the NAA Auxiliary; and completed CAI or the NAA Leadership Development course. Directors may serve two three-year terms. Two Directors are elected each year.
Key Dates and Process
Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Candidates will interview with the Leadership Development Committee during the first two weeks of March. Recommendations will be announced by March 18.
Those not endorsed by the Committee who wish to continue as a candidate must notify the Committee by 4 p.m. CT on Friday, March 28, 2025.
What Is Required?
The candidate packet includes:

A completed and signed application
- An agreement to the Rules for Candidates

Statements demonstrating how you reflect the Characteristics and Attributes of an Ideal NAA Board Member

Three references

A professional photograph
-
A one-page statement outlining your interest in serving and what you have learned from previous board service
Board members are expected to attend all scheduled in-person and virtual meetings, serve on committees as requested, and actively communicate and support the work of the NAA.
