Professional Bio
Dennis K. (Matthew) Kruse, II, serves as a co-owner and Dean of the Reppert School of Auctioneering. Matthew is a licensed auctioneer, real estate broker and certified general real estate appraiser. He has earned both his CAI and GPPA designations, and also has a business degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Matthew is a graduate of the Reppert School of Auctioneering. Matthew is considered to be one of the country’s foremost experts in auction law, general auction practices, and the auction business. He created the Reppert “blue book,” which has been recognized as the most comprehensive book on auctioneering ever assembled. Matthew has served on the technology committee of the NAA, the IAA and the Auction Marketing Institute. He is a past president of District 2 of the Indiana Auctioneers Association and a two-time finalist in the IAA bid calling contest. He is a life member of the NAA. Matthew has experience working auctions in over 30 states, managing on-site auction operations and staff, drafting budgets, designing and placing auction advertising, developing auction software, selling all types of real estate and personal property.
Matthew is also a Certified General Appraiser and Chief Appraiser for the PF Kruse Appraisal Group. He has been engaged in the sale and valuation of real and personal property since 1993. Matthew has earned the prestigious SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute, as well as the AI-RRS residential review designation. Matthew is also a member of the Indiana Real Estate Certification Board, having served since 2016. He also is a real estate broker in the Northeast Indiana area. Matthew has served on the board of directors for the Northeast Indiana Association of Realtors, and was president of the association in 2014.
