Ernie Rogers

**Ernie Rogers** is one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier fundraising auctioneers, bringing nearly 30 years of experience to nonprofit organizations throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, and beyond. Since 1998, he has conducted more than **2,000 charity and benefit auctions** and helped organizations raise **over $240 million** in charitable giving.

As Founder and Lead Auctioneer of **Blacktie Benefit Auctions**, Ernie specializes in fundraising galas, paddle raises (Fund-a-Need), live auctions, and event consulting. Together with his experienced team, he conducts approximately **80 to 85 fundraising events each year**, helping nonprofits increase donor engagement, maximize revenue, and create memorable fundraising experiences.

Known for his energetic stage presence and clear, easy-to-understand bid-calling style, Ernie is recognized for combining professionalism, humor, and strategic fundraising expertise to consistently deliver outstanding results.

A former President of the **Virginia Auctioneers Association**, Ernie was named the **2004–2005 Virginia State Champion Auctioneer** and was inducted into the **Virginia Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame** in 2019. He also holds the prestigious **CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute)**, **AARE (Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate)**, and **CES (Certified Estate Specialist)** designations.

Before entering the auction profession, Ernie served on active duty in the **United States Marine Corps** and later retired from the **United States Air Force Reserve** with the rank of Captain. He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in Virginia and North Carolina.

Ernie and his wife, married since 1978, reside in Midlothian, Virginia. His passion remains helping nonprofit organizations raise more money so they can make an even greater impact in the communities they serve.
