Professional Bio
Jimmy is president and chief auctioneer for Auction Services Ltd., a firm he established in 1999 in Anderson, South Carolina. In the years prior he worked with many local auctioneers and several large auction companies that specialized in equipment and yellow iron auctions throughout the southeast.
In addition to Jimmy’s experience as both a part-time and full-time auction professional, Jimmy holds the prestigious Certified Auction Institute designation (CAI). Currently this designation is held by less than 20 percent of auctioneers throughout the United States. Jimmy also holds the Benefit Auctioneer Designation (BAS). Jimmy is a licensed Real Estate Broker and conducts real estate auctions as part of his brokage firm. Prior to opening his brokerage firm, he directed the auction operations for the local Coldwell Banker affiliate for 20 years.
He specializes in real estate auctions as well as asset and estate liquidations throughout the southeast. His clients include government agencies, financial institutions, attorneys as well as individual home owners and investors.
Jimmy came to Anderson from Savannah, Georgia and has called the upstate home for 40 years. Jimmy is a graduate of Georgia Southern with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Prior to entering in the auction profession, he served as Director of Operations for the Anderson Area YMCA and was a certified director for this organization.
His business success has been based on a client driven approach.
Jimmy is married and his wife Caroline owns and operates a privately held business with multiple locations in the upstate.
