Kent D. Anderson, MPPA, GPPA, USPAP, GRI, CES, AHWD, SRES, RENE

Mr. Anderson has served as a licensed Auctioneer, Chief Appraiser, and subject-matter consultant for nearly two decades and is the founder of Maple Leaf Appraisals LLC, Dallas, Texas. He has completed extensive appraisal and valuation projects while testifying as an expert witness in high-value estate and fiduciary cases. He is a Texas-licensed real estate professional, has sold real estate both traditional and auction methods in 4 states, and has owned 31 businesses.
Mr. Anderson held leadership roles in regulatory management and government investigations, including the Nevada Gaming Control Board and AT&T/SBC Communications. He managed multi-state compliance projects, conducted background and financial suitability investigations, and served as a company witness in FCC and PUCN proceedings, significantly reducing litigation exposure and regulatory risk.
He holds numerous professional designations, including Master Personal Property Appraiser (MPPA), Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA), former Member National Association of Appraisers, (MNAA), former Member of Certified Appraisal Guild of America (CAGA), Certified Estate Specialist (CES), former Certified Auction Specialist (CAS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), and Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), as well as compliance with USPAP standards since 2007. Mr. Anderson is GIA trained by the Gemological Institute of America, completing all courses offered, and was designated an Associate Jewelry Professional (AJP).
Mr. Anderson consults with attorneys, fiduciaries, and private clients regarding auction and appraisal compliance, customary practice, valuation methodology, commercial reasonableness, and regulatory interpretation. His support work has included reviewing deposition materials, auction contract analysis, financial exhibits, and expert reports for numerous complex civil and bankruptcy proceedings across the United States.
