A Message from the CEO - September 2025
As I begin my first month as CEO of the National Auction Association, I want to share how glad I am to be here. It has been a privilege to meet many of you already, whether at Conference & Show, the Benefit Auction Summit in Montréal, or through conversations since stepping into this role. Each interaction reminds me of the strength of our community and the important role NAA plays in advancing the profession. I hope to see even more of you at the Real Estate Summit in Denver next month. This will be a valuable opportunity to connect and learn together. Don’t forget—the early bird registration deadline is next week.
Planning for the Future
Later this month, both the NAA and NAF Boards of Directors will gather in San Antonio for joint strategic planning. Our staff will also hold a retreat on September 11 to focus on alignment and culture. Together, these efforts will help ensure we’re moving forward with clarity and purpose.
Building Efficiency
We also made an important step last month with the launch of our new website and association management system. These changes are designed to improve efficiency and enhance your experience with NAA. As with any transition, there will be adjustments, but we are committed to making these tools as seamless and effective as possible.
My Focus
My priority during these first three months is to stabilize staff operations and strengthen our financial foundation. That work is essential to setting NAA on a strong path forward. Ultimately, our shared goal is to position NAA as the recognized voice of the auction industry—championing your work, advocating on your behalf, and amplifying the impact of auctions worldwide.
Thank you for the warm welcome into this role. I look forward to working alongside you and keeping you informed through these monthly updates.
